Great summary! I covered this in my labor course and struggled to get my students to see how interesting this actually was. I loved linking history/sociology with economics, but some of them were just hooked on doing "real economics." Whatever that means.

When I took Macroeconomics, they didn’t teach this. It was boring, and contradictory. When you put it in real life terms like you’ve done here, it paints a clear picture. It gives me hope that people will understand how the economy works, and chip in, because the economy doesn’t leave anyone behind. Only people and policies can do that. Great job!
